This data visualisation illustrates the changing share of renewable energy in the grid of European countries. The height and color of each country both represent its performance; demonstrating that there are major differences. Nordic countries perform best, probably due to the geological possibilities for generating energy (hydro and geothermal). The Benelux clearly constitutes an underperforming region in Europe when it comes to green energy.
